I saw a castle building that followed the land of hills and valleys for miles. It was really huge with towers and battlements. On one of the smaller towers there was a flag, I remember it was red and white. It was a beautiful sunny day and I could see a white horse in the sunshine, stepping out along the battlements, proud and alert. The rider too was alert in the saddle, there was no armour and no weapons, just the horse and the rider walking along the battlements of the castle. Suddenly the picture changed, it was getting dark and starting to rain. The horse was no longer white but splashed with mud and dirty the rider too was getting dirty and wet but they still walked the way. As time went on the horse slowed down to a plod and the rider knew that if they didn't get off and walk the horse would fall underneath them. By now it is so dark that all that could be seen was a few steps in front of the horse and rider. The rain was getting worse. The rider was so tired and weary, all that could be seen was this darkness, but still they staggered on. Sometimes the rider fell but still got up and kept moving forward. Then in the distance the flag reappeared, although it wasn't lit in any way it could still be seen as clear as day. The rider and the horse got to the door at the bottom of the tower, but the rider was so tired that they could not open the door. The lightening and the thunder were crashing and her horse needed caring for and she was so so tired. Then the door opened and she fell inside the tower, loving hands picked her up. The reins of the horse were taken from her hands and the horse was led away to be fed. The rider was carried gently into a warm room and laid in a warm comfy bed to rest.
Anyway the Lord turned me to my bible and this is what I read:
Matthew 5:14
You are the light of the world. A city
that is set on a hill and cannot be hidden
talking about you are the light of the world and
the city of God cannot be hidden, remember the flag could be seen
even though it was dark. The city of God we will see even though it is
darkness all around us.
then on to rev 19:14
and the armies in heaven clothed in fine linen
white and clean followed him on white horses.
now we are the army of God and so the rider is each one of us in our walk with Christ on our white horse, fighting and patrolling in his name. And when we have reached the end of our strength there is the flag (city of God, Jesus) that cannot be hidden and our strength our restorer our hope.
